You may want to begin a week ahead of time slowly cutting out caffeine, sodas, and other foods that you will not be eating during the 3 day detox flush.

This may help to alleviate some of the discomfort. Conversely, after the detox process, you will want to slowly ease back into your regular habits to keep from upsetting your stomach. Always take a few minutes to calm yourself before eating because being calm aids in digestion. This is a good habit to take up before eating any meal, not just during the detox flush. You will want plenty of fresh, raw, organic fruits and vegetables that are well washed. In situations where possible, try to leave the skin on because many of the nutrients are nearer the surface.

You can eat whatever fruits and vegetables you like, however broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, onions, apples, and leafy green vegetables will be great aids in assisting your body in its natural detox process. If you choose to make your vegetables into a salad, do not use oil or salad dressing. Try some lemon juice squeezed over the top or apple cider vinegar. Squeezing fresh lemon juice into boiling water in the morning and drinking it after it cools will stimulate bowel movement and cleanse your stomach and bowels. Be sure to also drink plenty of water. Doctors believe that drinking plenty of water is probably what makes the skin appear so much better after a detox flush.

If you are trying to lose weight and you are healthy, then a normal healthy diet that includes plenty of whole grains, raw fruits and vegetables, and protein in moderate amounts and exercise is the most effective way to lose weight. This also is a permanent detox diet as you are always eating foods that best assist your body in its natural detoxification system. Most of these diets only eliminate the water weight and do not affect a true weight loss.
