Foot Bath Detox Benefits

Foot bath detox treatments can be a very controversial subject. On one hand are anecdotal claims of increased energy, better sleeping habits, less pain for those in chronic pain, even increased sex drive. On the other are skeptics seeking solid proof before shelling out money that is becoming increasingly dear in our economy.

There have been many mistakes made in the world of conventional medicine regarding approved drugs later recalled, ignoring time honored cures because of our lack of understanding, and simply not knowing. In the world of alternative medicine there have been both scams and cures. When our experts fail us, and scammers abound it leaves a murky area that many are unwilling to step into.

Foot bath detox skeptics have valid concerns about the murkiness reported from use of these products. Much of that discoloration can be attributed to factors that have nothing to do with the feet, and many of those who support foot detox baths agree that discoloration is due to additions to the bath. However it is difficult to discount scores of anecdotal evidence, especially knowing how slowly conventional medicine embraces what does work in alternative medicine.

Foot bath detox treatments report to some surprising changes in people. Increased energy and lower stress is frequently reported. Better sleeping habits, fewer headaches and muscle aches, and eased menstrual pain are claims that usually follow. These could be an effect of simply sitting back and relaxing and soaking your feet, garnering a chain effect. Relaxation does increase your energy and lessen stress. Lessening stress and increasing energy typically help to relieve all the listed symptoms.

However, some effects can not be explained away. There have been reports of chronic pain being lessened or eliminated. Not something so easily explained away by simple relaxation. Relief from fibromyalgia has been reported as has lupus. People with chronic illnesses that western medicine has been unable to relieve have found relief in their foot bath detox and will continue to use them no matter what.  Others have reported significant relief from arthritis that even their doctors have been unable to help.

Both skeptics and proponents of foot bath detox agree that there is a significant amount of scamming going on from many companies. The color change is caused by the metal prongs in the water, electricity, and salt. If you don’t put your feet in, you’ll see the same effect, so it is not your sins coming back to haunt you. This only goes on to show that the colors that appear have absolutely nothing to do with your toxins and everything to do with whatever else has been introduced in the bath. Both agree that any claims of “reading” the colors to tell you your problem areas are definitely bogus and shelling out tons of money for it is only useless emptying of your wallets.

While skeptics continue their search for evidence though, many people will continue returning for treatments feeling happier, more energized, and sleeping better. While foot bath detox may not be a sure fire cure, there could be something more to these claims than simple relaxation could possibly account for.
